Party

The Acquaintance Party of the department I handle wasn't as messy as it was last year. The food came on time (mind you food is the only reason why most of them attend this annual event any way) but the programme wasn't well prepared. The games were not as fun as I had anticipated because the persons who were in charge didn't submit a "game plan". Hah, hard headed people are such a company!

I thought the day would go by without any incident but lo and behold, some woman got drunk and made a mess of herself in front of so many people. Tequila with cigarette ash is a wonderful (with sarcasm) mixed drink. She passed out, some busy body from the resort performed CPR which made her stomach contents go to her mouth. The bystanders who just came by (who just tunned in) thought she drowned. Then the same busy body performed the most gross thing in the world, Artificial Respiration with her mouth still frothing! Ewww really gross!! When she wouldn't respond to CPR/AR, one of her drinking buddies cried and kept on shouting "Lumaban ka!" as if the she was dying. Hah what a scene!! I bet they'd had too much to drink and too much telenovela... So what remained was to rush the woman to the hospital but when they were there, the doctor told them that all she need was a splash of water. Ha ha ha!

Okay, I confess I wasn't there, I had to leave early because of some emergency however, due to the wonders of modern telecommunications and business, I was able to get a blow by blow account of what happened.

The AR/CPR was done wrong. The resort guy should have checked first the Airway, Breathing, and Pulse. AR/CPR is dangerous when not done properly. My gosh who trained them? Gray's Anatomy or Scrubs? And why were her breasts exposed when CPR was performed? Huh? The improper procedure made someone take a picture of her half naked, limp body courtesy of a cellphone camera. I was told that the guy deleted the picture but... (oh I don't know, technology is a fun thing you know).
