Curious Balancing Act

I know I haven't been posting in a gadawful loongg time. Yah same old same old reason. Work. Like what I've written in the comments portion on Ms. Fye's blog, 'It's been a curious balancing act between school and studies'. I am feeling mental stress. At work I often deal with lots of reading and analysis that stretches to more than eight hours of discrete stuff. Then in this particular subject I'm enrolled in also deal with the same thing. So after thinking about it long and hard, I sent an email to my favorite professor last Friday and told him that I'm dropping from his class. It was my fault anyway, I enrolled with 12 units but I could argue that I didn't know it was gonna be this challenging. Hehehe reason, reason. Well, the pressures of mounting responsibilities. That is all I can say.

Then last Saturday afternoon a classmate sent me a message telling me that I must take the final exam otherwise I'll fail the subject. What? I have been absent for 4 or 5 meetings and I must take the final exams? I then sent an sms to my prof telling him of my email. Whadda you know, he called me up and told me, "If you will not take the final exam, you'll fail the subject. Take it you'll get INC for the cases you were not able to submit." So there I was in the middle of a company activity, at 2 pm with the class starting at 3, me an hour's drive away and I had to decide fast. In short taking the exam won. The final exam was the hardest case ever. I swear. Our nose bled our brains, really.

I'm very grateful to my favorite professor. He was so generous with me. I guess really he understood that I am really having a hard time with balancing studies and work. I was never a delinquent student. In the previous semesters, my performance was good. One of my classmates before from Databases noticed my current performance in our Research class. Well I only have one word, "responsibilities" shoved up to my neck.

Yakang yaka to sabi ni moieee. This too shall pass...
