Heavy and Light Notes

It's been two weeks since my good friend K2 (see the Selpon post) called it quits with her boyfriend. The suspicion that there was someone else was true afterall. How the heck could she have known??? Two factors the first being "woman's intuition" and the second, those sudden not so subtle changes. You see when you are in a relationship, you get used to so many things: calling and texting each other at every chance with take cares, nytnyts, swit drims, muah muah, 8 kn?, and i luv us; always wanting to be the first to greet "hapi mansari" or "hapi aniv" being so lavish on almost anything and everything; the terms of endearments and the habit of informing whereabouts.

One day, boom he forgets to call or text her. One week later, it's still the same scenario. When they meet it's like he's not there. He didn't greet her on their mansari. There was this time when he didn't tell her that he had already come home days ago from his trip somewhere. Then there were times when she sends messages or calls him and he would suddenly, mysteriously run out of load. Hmmm smells fishy. I know, "familiar or similar?"

She came up to me one day, telling me she wanted to give up. Now me being the optimistic person that I am told her, "You don't give up on a person or on a relationship that easily. Give it time." Little did I know that it had been going on for more than a month. The last straw however, were the messages sent to the "X" that she saw on his sent items. Of course as friends we all told her that if she really wanted to know, why not ask him. Yes they were able to have their final talk but she was never able to ask the most important question of all, "Kayo na ba uli?" All she did manage to ask was, "Ano ang kasalanan ko sayo?" and "Do you still love me?" His answers, "Wala kang kasalanan, ako ang me problema," and "I don't know" At that, she called it quits.

On the lighter side, we just learned that K1 is a month preggy. Wow, no wonder she has been somewhat easily irritated, grumpy, and eats a lot. We're so happy and excited for her as she has been praying and expecting this for over a year. I wish that they would become great parents and that the baby whether a boy or a girl would grow up to be a good citizen. Of course I wish the couple, a stronger relationship and another baby to become the firstborn's playmate. ;p
