Going on a trip for the sembreak never figured out on the sembreak plans posted below but what the heck...
Last night, my friend who has sometimes lets me tag along his business trips asked me if I wanted to tag along on another trip to General Santos City. You could tell I was so excited because I wasn't late for the departure time and that is even if I knew I will not be able to see nature places such as the Silway Watershed in Polomolok as we were only there for a routine hardware maintenance that he had to do for an insurance company. Our destination is a two to three hour ride from here depending on your mode of transportation and your need for speed. Nah, we just took the bus like the ordinary mortals that we are. I like bus rides short or long but I hate this bus, the windows weren't clean and so, I was only able to take just a single picture of one of the reasons why I like bus rides, the farm by the highway. The bus left at 9 and we were there by 11:30 am.
Since it was going to be lunch time soon, he decided we have lunch first then the maintenance by 1 pm. After lunch, we went sightseeing around the mall where we ate. There wasn't much to see so we decided to head for this other mall that was bombed sometime ago. There were more people there than the other mall. For one because it's more modern looking and two because they city was holding it's e-business week and e-job fair at that mall. Before the clock struck 1 pm it was decided that he go ahead to his work while I was to continue the mall tour (ehek, for want of a better term). Well, he knows I must not be bored because I tend to get grumpy when I'm bored. So while off he went I set out to find what we agreed to bring with us home, the famous Gensan tuna chorizo. Found my tuna at the grocery section but I decided to wait for my friend otherwise I look foolish walking around the mall with grocery in hand. Now, I never knew window shopping could be that tiring so I sat at one of the benches which were situated near the window that has a view of the outside world. That was when I noticed how wierd their parking lot is. I've never seen a parking lot built that way. It was located sublevel but from the street you could have a look if you peered down from the wall which was shoulder level high. It was interesting so I took a picture of it. There was another interesting sight, a MacD sign at the top of a wachamacalit? tower? in front of the fastfood chain. So, they've reached Southern Mindanao eh?
Now, back to the tuna. We were lucky that one of the exhibitors of the e-business thing sold what we were looking for but at a price lower than the mall's. Grabbing a rare chance we bought as much as we can afford. There was chorizo, nuggets, lumpia, bola-bola, and tocino all made from tuna. We told the ladies who were watching the store to please wrap our items for travel. They didn't have any carton with them so they just wrapped the tuna with lots of newspapers and used packaging tape to hold them in place having no twine with them. I guess they were not prepared for bulk orders. I forgot to take a picture of how our purchase looked like but heck, it looked like a BOMB. Hahaha! The ladies had to give us leaflets to prevent having the bus station guards to have to open the "bomb".
To be continued...
Ciao, Tweedledee!
Happy Birthday and many more to the Sexy Mom, Sheng!
