Yes I know it's Christmas but I'll rant anyways.
Hay naku ha... Ang ganda ganda ng umaga ko kanina. Gumising ako ng maaga para makapag handa ng maaga para sa Christmas dinner. I always take it seriously coz it's the only time that everybody stays at home to eat dinner together. We are a busy family, we only get to eat dinner together during Christmas eve and new year's eve dinners and ocasionally during birthdays. That is a circumstance that we share with other families. After the initial preparations I decided to leave the house to do some last minute purchases. I had fun looking for stuff to give away at the local chinatown. I guess it would have been more fun if I was with company who likes shophopping the way I do. Toward's early evening, I got this text message from my mom telling me to buy 2 lechon manok at our suking tindahan. It made me ask myself why she'd be telling me such coz our menu was beefsteak, this pork recipe, a fish recipe, and salad. I know what you're thinking, we like to be complete okay. Darn the suking tindahan was full of last minute buyers too and I had to fall in line. On the way home, I thought of the delicious stuff waiting for me. As soon as I entered the door, I asked mom what kinds of food she cooked and she said, "We just cooked fried fish." I was like, waaattt??? It turns out, the local water utility company decided to turn off their huge water producing pumps and we ended not being able to have a more fitting dinner that night. My gawd, what morons. I imagined the powers that be holding a bored meeting in the bored room with their chairman of the board asking the board members what to do to fight off boredom. Then a bored member says, "Why not extend our secret water interruption to two days?" So what happened was we did not have water nor air coming out of our faucets on the 24th. The water pressure came back in the evening of yesterday, the 25th. Wow. I hope they're happy!!! Oh yeah, did the morons give an advisory prior to the water interruption? NO! Did they offer an explanation (or apology) for the inconvenience? NO! What was on their head was probably, "What the heck it's christmas anyway these people will get over it. Besides what can they do?" Grrrrr!
I was supposed to have an officemate or two come by on the 25th. It was a good thing the plan did not materialize or the supposed visitors would have to content themselves with de lata. Wawa naman.
