Epol Apol

Ok so I'm back again and as promised (more to myself) to the readers (assuming there's like more of you out there (hehehe) I'm gonna tell you where I've been the past months I was not actively blogging.

It was one of those days when feeling so stressed out, the gang decided to spend some time to relax and unwind. Knowing the barkada that I hang out with, it wasn't going to be something like going to the mall to do some window shopping or to watch movies or well the usual pigging out. We wanted to spend time communing with nature which IMHO is a better way to relax. It was also a preparation of sorts for the highly anticipated Mt. Apo climb.

Being ubiquitous I think has gotten through me. Imagine, I was so excited at the prospect of not being reached by any other person via cellphone only to discover that directly above the house that we rented (1 km or something) was a communications tower. Grrrr.... So here are a few of the pictures that I was able to shoot. Darn like I said I got so excited I forgot to bring extra batteries for the camera. Oh well, I got the most important view that I wanted to shoot. It's better than nothing ayt, hah! =)

So lemme continue... Oh have I told you that it was the first time that I participated in 'night trek'? I refuse do trekking at night coz I have eyesight problems but my partner in crime (we're the sweepers) assisted me in the whole ordeal. Opo ordeal talaga, I almost stumbled lots of time noh. The fun part was reaching the house that we rented which was illuminated only with a makeshift torch fashioned from a liquor bottle filled with 'gaas'. It reminded me of this movie where the characters got lost in the woods and came upon cannibal forrest dwellers. There was even talk of cannibals and stuff. We were in the same wavelength, hehe.. It was refreshing to be sleeping at the loft to the sound of night creatures (for me that is). One of my group, Jong wasn't able to sleep that much because every time he moved, his head or his arms would bang against the roof (see the picture). Hehehe poor poor man.

The next morning we went out for a dip at the cool waters of Epol, Marilog District. You will notice in the picture that there's a giant rock at the natural pool.. Well some woman who atempted to climb the rock to pose like a model accidentaly slipped into the water slidding down the rock like a lizard hehehe.. So you see caution is always first..
