Lately there has been much fuss about this Higgs Boson in the scientific community. For us lesser mortals this is well the best explanation I've come across.
Suddenly I remember John Doe's comment on G+ regarding this:
"If God was just a speck of dust the whole time, then that must account for the unanswered prayers."
