Like what I said in the previous post, we had a seminar last Monday. It was about leadership and team building. In one part of the seminar, we were told to draw a pig. Depending on which part of the paper we drew the animal, depending on the details we incorporated or the lack of them/it, and where the pig faces, determines the type of personality we have. A good personality makes for a good leader and a good team member so the speaker said. Personality I can understand but the pig I failed to see the symbolism or the connection to leadership and the team concept. Anyhoo I followed whatever needs to be done as it looked fun to do. However since I'm not good at drawing anything, I ended up with what you can see here. Some pig huh? Ooopps wrong spelling wrong. ;pHere's the interpretation.
- a listener,
- sticks to ideas and ideals therefore stubborn,
- a realist,
- moderately analytical,
- is direct (tactless hehehe),
- enjoy's playing Devil's Advocate (I do, I do),
- neither fears nor avoids discussions
After the piggy thing we took a inventory type of test so we can identify what kind of leadership style we had. The test classifies a leader as: Contributor, Collaborator, Communicator, and Challenger. The highest rating is the leadership style you have however if the results for all the classifications are near each other, then you have a combination of those types.
Of the four, I scored highest as a Collaborator. Which makes sense because my job requires me to be such. However, I can't discount the other two scores because the numerical difference of the scores. That makes me a Collaborator, Communicator, and a Challenger (the Advocatus Diaboli). Which is true of me because I'd always find my self not much of an analyst (Contributor) though my work also demands that of me.
atleast u know how to draw even just a pig.. ako hanggang stick figures lng tlaga. hehehe.
ReplyDeletei second the motion, moieee. nice pig u've got there kathie. i never thought drawings could tell a lot, too. =)
ReplyDeletelib would have done it better. hehehe. thanks for that you guys however let it be known that it took me a hard time to finish that drawing. ;p
ReplyDeleteapparently drawing could tell a lot. sometime last year i took a qualifying exam in a medical school and they let me draw a tree, house, and a person. up to now i still wonder how my drawing reflected me. =)
