Pinoy Ako, Pinoy Tayo!

I was so weary from the whole day classes at the Uni that when I finally arrived at home, not a minute passed and I was in dreamland already. In fact so tired I was that I almost slept the whole day away, were it not for Pacquiao-Barrera fight which I had wanted to see. We don't have cable tv and this is always one of those days that we wish we had. The Pacquiao-Barrera fight was already broadcasted over the radio with commentators busily giving their comments and insights on the way both fighters were playing while on tv the first undercard fight had not even started my goodness! I slept again during the whole radio broadcast didn't, want it to spoil my mood for the televised fistfight. We knew the telecast would be plagued with commercials, we just didn't expect it was going to be that many. Made me think of a wall riddled with bullet holes.

Kudos to Kyla. I appreciate the way Kyla sang the Lupang Hinirang. In fact it was a welcome thing what she did compared to the previous ladies who sang the national anthem. My mom would always complain, "Why do they have to change it?" Bakit nga ba? A friend who belongs to a choir said, "If they can sing any other song so well and by heart, why couldn't they sing the national anthem the same way? Hmmm oo nga naman. In the interview that followed you could see that this woman has a humble heart which won her the crowd when they sang along with her. I was beautiful and I was moved. Singers of today should learn from her. She did her homework, had her mentor teach her how to sing and the end result was that we were not put to shame. =)

Now what could an Ara Mina had done?

Congratulations to Pacman too. It was a well-deserved win.

So pagkatapos? I slept again and woke up to hear mass.

  4. I know whom you meant about the other lady who sang the anthem for the fight too, she wasn't there to sing but she was just trying to show off that she had a great voice (though she doesn't look good while singing) and make her own version of the anthem which she can sing by herself.
