Yeah Right...

October 2, Tuesday

A computer hardware at the office broke down and I couldn't use the internet connection forcing me to go to a cafe to have my emails sent. I get off from work at 9 pm and must report at 8 am the following day. Took me three hours to send my emails. Gawd, I hate the schedule they gave me. I finally got home at around 1:30 am of October 3. Slept 30 minutes later.

October 3, Wednesday

Thank God! I was able to log on to the biometrics machine 4 minutes short of being late, goodness... One more and they're gonna fire me for sure. Hehehe. So lots of things happened both the daily work routine and the unexpected extras. Logging out was a relief. At the jeepney I was busily planning in my head what I was gonna do as soon as I got home and that was make to the 5 small programs I was tasked to do. Yap it's against my personal rules to bring work-related stuff at home but what can I do, the office computer conked out. When I finally got home I was shocked to see from the gate that my housemates were using candles to light the whole place. In that split second time before the gate was opened for me, thoughts went like this, "Ano naputulan kami!? Bakit? Alam ko nagbayad kami recently. Bakit ganito? Arrrgggghhh my report's on Saturday!"

The lightning did it. When it struck my mom, brothers, sister heard a loud bang and on turning towards the source of the sound, saw sparks coming from the kitchen light. Gawd, it was scary a scary thing. Our could have burned down that night because we use LPG. Thank God.

October 4, Today

Still one hell of a day. My bro got the electricity working though. We had to suspend using the kitchen light until Uncle Electrician who is at his farm comes home. One of my brothers reported that we were not the only ones affected by the lightning strike. There were a total of four neighbors whose radio or tv got damaged. One of the four was not even watching tv but forgot to unplug the cable.
