The Unusual Suspects

They looked like a photos of a crime scene from my favorite show CSI. There he was lying dead on his back arms spread out, head was tilted to a degree and his face smashed with something making him almost unrecognizable. It was a violent death.
I'll call him Fred. When he was alive, Fred worked as a caretaker of sorts to my Mom's woman friend. Four months before he was killed, he was reassigned to oversee (spy around) his boss' farm. She wanted to find out why her mango fruits kept and her farm animals kept disappearing.

There were no other visible marks on his body. I did not quite get the cause of death but the autopsy report did say that he was attacked by three persons. Now here's the ugly part. The suspects aside from being neighbors were husband, wife, and one of their kid. Murderous family? But wait there's more... Both are members of the Basic Ecclesial Community, church leaders to make it short. He even led the prayers that were held at Fred's wake.

There is strong evidence to suggest that the Unusual Suspects were the ones who did the guy. Fred was able to report some time before his death that the couple stole a turkey and some other things. Then on the night of his death he was able to call his boss and told her to get him out of there as he might not make it through morning because he was being chased by (name of suspect). A pipe used to bash Fred and Fred's cellphone was found near him. He was found in the morning of December 23rd by a security guard of a neighboring company.
