Today is the last day of my Birth Month. I'm twenty something years this year. the next year and the next next next next years. Hehehe. Don't you know that the rulebook says that it's rude to ask a woman of her age?
Among my gang, I share the same birth month with my lil Bro Lau, Dexter, Alodio, Brendon, Cousin Vergie, and Niece Ronnie. Aside from that I'm a Leonine so I leave you with the guesswork as to when my birthday is. ;p
Not much happened as compared to last year. I only got a total 8 friends who were able to remember and greet me. Some on the date and some sent their greetings just recently. Which is fine because I think of my birthdays as just another ordinary day only I got older. Add to that the fact that I usually celebrate it with just the family and the closest of friends. I wouldn't even call what we do as a party 'coz we just hang out and eat. I have been known to have said, "The only party I'll ever organize for myself is my Wedding Party" and I don't think it's gonna be soon given the loveless state I'm in.
The only gift I got by the way is a bracelet. What's so nice about this gift is up to now I don't know who gave this to me. I just found this inside my closet the day after. Of course the usual suspects would have to be my family as they are only ones who have access to my closet which is usually padlocked when I'm not at home. Alas no one wants to confess so I just left it at that and told my friends I got this from one of my brothers.
This year we just had a simple dinner minus the friends. I didn't feel like celebrating really and if you are one of what Keloyd refers to as masugid na tagabasa, you'd know that my dad died just recently.
Belated happy birthday to myself and to my ka-birthdays and may we have many more of them to come with the hopes that it wouldn't show by the number of wrinkles that we have but by the number of experiences, learnings, insights, friends and money (hopefully) that we have gained. So there...
