while the rest of the world is remembering the bombing of the towers, i and a group of friends took the time off from our work and attended the wedding day of a good friend of mine. i remember the time when we gals talked about wedding stuff such as what's should be and should be not on our wedding days. i've told them that i'd invite friends who own digital still and video cameras so that they'd be the one's to document the event. it's practical right? plus giving them something to do makes them a participant and not mere spectators and eaters...
i thought it was just going to be a passing idea to this good friend of mine. but she seriously considered it so that today i found myself not a photographer but the video gal. now, i've never taken a video of anyone or anything this serious. last night, i practiced and practiced taking videos. i was nervous and excited that in the morning i was even the first person to get to the venue. hehehe...
so anyway, it went well but of course the output wasn't something pro. for one thing, it was difficult to get angles because of the terrible lighting at the venue. i just told my friend to bring the output to a pro video editor. i think i can do the editing given the proper hardware and software but i will only dare myself if it was an ordinary event. hah! there were bloopers of course. the emcee wasn't able to come and since there were not many close friends who could make it, the task of being emcee went to... tadaaan! your's truly. it was funny because at the pictorial portion, i had to call the people to take videos/pictures of then position myself to take a video then run to the microphone and repeat the process. oh yeah, days before i was told by the friend that his husband to be was not fond of pictorials and stuff, said it was cheesy. however when i the pseudo emcee set to work, there was nothing he could do. i just told him gently, "minsan ka lang ikakasal noh!" hehehehe. it was fun, funny, weird, nice, and stirred the adventuress in me. hmmm...
