Yup I had one more year added today. I celebrate by praying. Tonight I'm buying take out for the family. The few close friends who could remember are invited as well. Heheheh. As of this writing, cellphone greeting are from D and Cheng.
I thank God for another year. What I'm not thankful though is the continuous stream of greetings every time my students and colleagues see me walking at the corridor or entering a classroom. I'm not used too much attention that's why every year I hide myself somewhere. =) The only birthday that I get excited about is not mine but my mother's. =) I'm not even used to having a party. I like it that my birthday passes by quietly. It used to be that way until the HR department decided to plaster the employees birthdays at the bulletin board. Is that a violation of privacy? Hehehe... The thing is I can't avail of birthday leave as I'm not a regular employee. I just have to be content with dodging as many persons as I can which is hard considering that I'm a teacher.
