I rarely watch TV and right now I don't have the time to check facts but if this is true then I should say he is a disgrace to a lot of Filipinos especially those who are serious writers/bloggers, heck I think even to the ordinary citizen who understand such issues.
The graphic made me think to myself, "Google Translate Maybe?" Let's be realistic, writing is both an art and a skill. I don't believe all politicians write their own speeches. I tend to think that a lot of them have ghost writers in their employ. The thing is they should also employ fact checkers that know/understand plagiarism. To those who do not know, translating a work and passing it as your own is still plagiarism. Now I remember a recent plagiarism controversy between him and a famous American blogger and it had something to do with his RH Bill speech. When the blogger called his attention the nerve of him to get mad at the blogger!
Now I can certainly understand why he wouldn't admit to having a ghost writer because,
a) there is an unspoken belief that artists/musicians turned politicians are dumb - some are by the way - hence the need to constantly prove themselves;
b) it's a speech, he has to convince his fellow politicians and the future voters that he can 'think' of something 'shiny' to deliver by himself;
c) he is a senator dammit, who is supposed to be a legislator.
I wonder what went through his mind when he did this? Did he think Filipinos are dumb not to notice, well someone did. Just my two Philippine pesos.
